Three Signs of a Hypocrite

1 min read

Do not be of the hypocrites.

When you speak try not to lie, know that Allah is watching and knows what you intend to lie about or what you actually lie about.

Do not break promises, if you promise to do something for yourself or someone else, keep that promise.

When you trust someone and they are dishonest about something and you no longer trust them, don’t be a hypocrite and do this. Look at your own actions in the past which you have maybe lied about something. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Be forgiving and have mercy on others just like Allah is forgiving and has mercy on you.

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet (ﷺ) said, “The signs of a hypocrite are three:

1. Whenever he speaks, he tells a lie.

2. Whenever he promises, he always breaks it (his promise ).

3. If you trust him, he proves to be dishonest. (If you keep something as a trust with him, he will not return it.)”
