Repeating the Adhan to yourself upon hearing it

1 min read

When we hear the Adhan, we should stop talking to others about general chit chat, and listen to the Adhan and repeat what the Mu’adh-dhin is saying.

While the Adhan is being recited the shaitan flees and passes wind. This is the power of the Adhan. We should always repeat what the Mu’adh-dhin is saying whether we are near or far from it, if you hear it, your should repeat it.

Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Whenever you hear the Adhan, say what the Mu’adh-dhin is saying.
